KURT NAVARRO

Convoy Strength Powerlifting Coach and Manual Therapist

Kurt was born and raised in Hawaii and grew up playing sports like football, wrestling, and track. He joined the Navy and during his active service he competed in bodybuilding/physique, jiu jitsu, and fell in love with powerlifting where he continues to compete and also gives back to the sport as a USAPL referee.
Kurt has always had a strong ambition towards strength training, his desire to learn more has led him to pursue a passion for helping others realize their full potential, both in and out of the gym.

JOSHUA BRINGAS

Convoy Strength Weightlifting Coach
USAW level 1
Started weightlifting competitively in 2012. With previous athletic experience in lacrosse and wrestling. Competed in men’s 62kg, 67kg, 69kg, 73kg weight categories at a national level.
Been coaching weightlifting since 2013 for both competitive weightlifters and athletic training. Coached at SDSU strength and conditioning facility with Women’s Volleyball, Lacrosse, Soccer, and rowing teams as a weightlifting coach. Coached at Fortius weightlifting youth, senior and master's athletes and helped improve their technique and strength.
My approach to coaching is dynamic and I don’t believe there is one way that is the best because everyone responds differently to training. I believe that as long as fundamentals are met, training methodologies can be mapped around an athlete's individual needs.
